Fortuna clip-on and my Toshiba e800 bluetooth running TT3.03
Can I get it work? can I !!!!
The GPS device is seen by my bt app but I don't seem to be connected. BT app tells me that fortuna will be SPP serial on com6 but then TT3 doesn't have a com6 in the menu!!!!
Fortuna has green leds, and update service on bt app shows comms between the pda and fortuna.
ARGGHHHHH!!!! help !!!!!! |

It wasn't a purposeful double post as I was browsing a search result in Haicom it put my post there when I selected New Post.
Still.... in the absence of anything useful from "Privateer"...
I've got the two talking now by gett the Fortuna on ST mode and TT3 is setup as "NMEA0183 38400" on "Bluetooth card"
Does anyone know what the Xtrac setting should be for TT3 to use the Fortuna?
Many thanks in anticipation

No worries Dubbs.

Does that mean that you've got TTNav working OK?
If you have, try it with NMEA for a while. I've not used my Clip-On in XT mode yet as I'm happy with ST.
What BT COM ports do you have to select from, in the GPS Driver selection?

I've got:
Bluetooth Rendering
Bluetooth Telephony
Bluetooth Card
COM4
COM3
USB Cable
Native IR:
Serial cable on COM1:
Bluetooth GPS
It seems to work on NMEA0183v2 38400 with Bluetooth card selected |

Hi kostis100,

No I've never needed to try XT, as I'm very happy with the performance in ST mode. XT mode is for slower use and/or urban canyons so I've not used XT.
I bought the Clip-On because I wanted a Bluetooth GPS receiver with a replaceable battery.
XT mode is a bonus which I may try one day, if I need to.

It'd be good to know what I need for it to work in TT3 all the same. Tried SiRF 38400 but it didn't seem to want to know (although might need another go) |

Just came back from a France trip to buy alcohol for my impending wedding. All went very well indeed. Got the Fortuna running on bluetooth successfully on both Xirf and NMEA (XT and ST respectively)
For XT mode, SiRF 38400 with bluetooth card as the port setting
For ST mode, nmea0183v2 38400 with bluetooth card as the port setting
Works a treat.
TT3 good but slow in my opinion, going to go and post more info about this in the tt forum now for those that are interested... |
