Hi,
I finally took the plunge and my RDS TMC reciever turned up today. Traffic works fine... it picks up signal and everything! It doesnt however show me the weather, or any other options such as Buddies in the TT Services menu. When I click on them without the TT RDS plugged in I assumed that as it says "please connect your Traffic reciever" that these options would work?
Anybody know why
Thanks |

Because the RDS-TMC Traffic receiver receives FM Traffic Broadcasts only. Service such as Buddies, weather etc are only available via a data connection, either on a LIVE device or hooked up via BT to a phone with a data connection. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The RDS-TMC device will only supply traffic related information, to use the other services such as Buddies/ Weather etc needs the HD Traffic receiver which uses a GPRS connection to access the server at TomTom, sadly these are only available in Holland.
Don't even consider purchasing one though as they are locked to the country thay are intended to be used in - Useless in the UK - Mike |
