One of the Surrey Police did that sort of thing to me a long while back hiding behind a hedge along New Inn Lane, Burpham, Guildford, so I turned around went back & called him a ignorant
Oddly by the time I'd turned around again, less than 2 mins he'd gone. |

There have been numerous fatalities on that stretch of road in recent years and although I dont agree with hiding behind trees, I also dont agree with the " they should be standing out in the middle of the road so we can see them" mentality. The deterrent to slow down would only be when you saw the police then wouldnt it? If you are not speeding then you have nothing to fear |

CJ.
I appreciate that there may be many fatalities on this stretch of road which is where I believe fixed camera would be more appropiate which will permanately slow traffic in this instance (hense the term of safety camera).
I dont think a police officer jumping out of the bushes in the middle of the road is taken safety on board especially when they are jumping out in front of a speeding motorist. I do however firmly believe in keeping speed down in built up areas and driving at an appropiate speed to the road conditions. |
