Okay this might seem odd to some of you, but it 's a personal preference.
Just returned from trip to Alps with the Zumo 550, and took the TomTom Rider 1 as a backup.
Conclusion, if anyone has bought a TomTomrider 2 and now wishes they had gone for the Zumo 550 we can do a swap.
Yes we could both sell them on eBay or similar, and not expect to get our money back or we could do an exchange. There is a small difference in the new prices, or at least there was when I bought the Zumo 550 but it was negligible.
I've not had it long, and personally find it just too damned complicated by far.
So if the TomTom is not for you and you really wish you'd bought a Zumo 550, then give me a call, but don't ask too many techie questions as I don't have a clue. Hence the reason for this posting in the first place.
Don't get me wrong, it is very good, but it doesn't do everything I liked about the Rider 1, and the only reason I changed up was because of the cradle mount, which on the TTR1 is rubbish.
If you don't live in or near Harlow don't worry, I'll meet you half way after we've talked on the phone.

You are now going to get answers in both posts. Please don't double post. It makes a thread hard to follow. |

Okay no problem, but I was reckoning on attracting attention from both garmin and tomtom followers, hence the double post in seperate sections.

In those cases it's probably better to do so in the Beginners or Advanced GPS Forums. As mentioned above the reason duplicate posts are locked is you end up duplicating the questions and answers...
No problem though... |
