If you unzip the CABfile to the SD card it will put all the correct files in to the folders and root of the card where required, when you insert the SD card the device will boot from the card ignoring the Navcore installed on the device Flash Memory - Mike |

Mike,
Maybe I should ask this elsewhere .... but in this Forum, I don't see an easy way to see the post that's being referred to. For instance, 3 people may offer a solution to a question, and the OP says "Thanks, that worked!". But it's not clear to which post he might be replying.
Other Forums I use have this facility. Am I missing something?
Cheers,
Mark |

There are two ways, once you know the Navcore number its easy, and that generally gets posted on the forum within a few minutes of its release, the second one involves a crystal ball and is far more mysterious - Mike |
Or have a look in the *.toc files that HOME uses |

Ah! That's good to know.
Of course, one would have to have downloaded the app first to find out where to go get it

True, but once you have seen enough toc files you might be able to work it out .... |

Well I gave my 720 a run this evening with the 8.351 installed. It has improved the volume on mine. I wouldn't say it is as loud as with the 8.302, but clearer, and it is a big improvement to 8.350. I do have the refresh/jumpy/flickery screen though that others have reported and it is when the rds tmc is connected. So not sure whether to roll back to 8.321.
Need to log a report on tomtom support now. |

Although I do not have rds tmc on mine, I have to agree with this. It certainly seems better but not as good but that could be me. At leass they have reacted which probabaly means they had tons of complaints... |

8.351 is working very good for me so far.
No lock ups or crashes as seen on 8.350.
Volume is fine as it was on 8.350 on my 930.
Battery indicator also improved. |

Mike, where and how can you download Navcore updates from other than Home? Love to be able to do that but I've not figured it out. |

There is information on page five of this thread on how to work out the URL, you need to make sure you are downloading the correct version for your device - Mike |

Read the post 14 above your one, and the subsequent replies. Once one person has downloaded it via HOME, and makes public the direct link (contained within the downloaded toc file), then others l;ike us can take advantage of the link to access the update ....
