This has been a long standing issue when using the TT for handsfree, I have only experianced this a few times but there are others that get it a few times a week, sadly not a lot I can suggest to fix it other than to log a call with TomTom Support (0845 161 0009) - Mike |

my 530 on the same software seems to have a dislike of the phone function.
It displays the name of my phone incorrectly, it wants me to female I think as it calls it Briana's iphone instead of Brian's
Then it randomly looses the pairing and refuses acknowledge the phone until the 530 has had the reset pressed.
bit naff tbh |

Reset button should sort it but only very temporarily. Are you by any chance using RDS-TMC Traffic service? It's usually worse in that circumstance and it has a file in the gns folder called gnsdata which gets corrupted. Deleting that file is part of a short term cure (doesn't harm to delete it, as the device will create a new one automatically). Clearflash.exe is another help, reformatting the whole thing is another. If you don't know how to backup and reformat, DON'T even think about it!! But none of them work long term, it'll come back sooner or later.
My long term cure was to stop using it for handsfree!! I have got a GO700 to use for handsfree instead. _________________ Dennis
