|
|
Good Morning,
I've just been offered Navcore 8.351 and new western europe maps 830.2305. on TTHome
However the last time I updated the maps I lost all my Pocket GPS camera settings and had to manual re-add them all. Which is a complete pain the bum.
I know that there is a way to save the settings and re add them, but I cannot find how to do it.
I have a full backup of my tomtom.
Can anyone help please.
Thanks

The warning configuration is stored in the MapSettings.cfg file which you will locate in the Western_Europe map folder.
The last couple of map updates have made the older MapSettings.cfg file incompatable so the device wipes the old file and creates a new black one. There is very little you can do about this, I think in the early days when map updates used to work with the old MapSettings.cfg file it was more a coincidence or mistake - Mike |

I copied my Mapsettings.cfg from my backup and it didn't stop the device working. But I still had to set up my warnings again anyway. And I had no favourites, they're all POIs, so it was a wasted exercise. _________________ TT Go Essential |

Thanks I'll do the upgrade and see if copying the mapsettings.cfg works. If it doesn't hey ho.
