I believe it usually takes a few days after it's released to get onto the LMG. _________________ TT Go Essential |

Are you looking in the right place?
Not in "Add Maps" or "Update my Go", you need to go to the Tools menu at the top and select "Latest Map Guarantee" there. |

Still offering me 825......
Will call them tomorrow to see what they say......it is a refurbed unit bought at the beginning of May. Maps loaded are 715 - which I guess are a year old.......I would expect a refurbed unit to have the latest ones at time of production.....
Any help appreciated. |

I think they have stopped honouring the LMG on UK refurb units. There's a couple of threads about it somewhere else. I reckon I just managed to sneak in under the wire, but different batches may come without the LMG.
But do give them a call and let us know their response. |

If you purchased it from Total PDA then This Thread might offer some details, indeed the LMG has been recently removed from refurbished devices (see the last post in the thread) - Mike |

Not really relevant here though... because Pieman1972 *is* being offered a new map, just not the right one.
IIRC, Home is often "slow" to offer a new map under the LMG, often several days after it has been released for sale.
I'm not totally convinced the LMG has been completely dropped on refurb units either.
There's a news item over on YourTomTom about new refurbished units being sold by TomTom themselves and they have "a voucher for the latest map shipped with the unit."
SEE HERE.
Does anyone else remember when the first lot of refurb models came out? Handtec, TotalPDA etc. were saying they didn't have LMG, and TT were just as confused, eventually saying they DIDN'T have the LMG, but they DID have a voucher for the latest map. Sounds like the same confusion again? |

Thanks for the responses guys.....this seems a very grey area.....I'm sure when I purchased it had LMG on there.....however if TomTom are refurbing them then surely they should put the latest map available....
Will call them tomorrow and see what they say.......will let you know..... |

|
|
Well this afternoon Tomtom made the 830 Map available - said that when I connect to Home I would be offered it as an autodownload. Was also advised to use a wired connection as opposed to wireless.
So connected up, ran a my 20m Ethernet cable downstairs to the router - and excellent it was there - selected it to download......had to remove the old map and the computer voices to give me the space and off we go.
The download has completed in 2h30 ish.....it's gone to install and then said sorry - you need to free up 2.6Mb and aborts.......
I've grabbed a memory card and reconnected and now nothing......so I am mapless (apart from a 7.xx on backup)......
Can anyone help / advise..........I need the maps working for 7am Monday. Why has the software allowed the download if there was not enough install space.
Thanks very much in advance |

Installed now.....just looking how to get Kate back installed don't have enough space....
Should I move the map to the SD card ? Or can I install the voice to the card.....
Sorry for so many questions.....
Once I get a working solution I will back up to a "post 830maps" folder |
