|
|
I have now seen two posters who reported in a North American forum that upgrading to NA map 830 has wiped out the PIN from their unit. Has anybody here experienced the same problem with updating your European map? _________________ David |

I have had many problems with updating but what do you exactly mean by the PIN? _________________ Drivelux |

The security number entered using Home to 'lock' your unit. _________________ David |

Now I know what you mean and although I do not use it, it seems to be stored in settings.dat in the root directory which was modified on my attempted update. _________________ Drivelux |

I also lost this, and my Favourites, and the sound settings attached to POIs. |

Same here.
Funny though, the PIN was still there last night whilst I rebooted a few times whilst connecting to PC etc.
This morning - it's gone.
Going to spend 30 mins or so putting it all back as was. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

Mine has gone also, and favourites too. I think it has displayed all POI on map as well as losing sounds! Grrr |
