This may take some thinking about..
My scottish nature will not let me just part with that amount of money for any old cause. I expect to see a fully documented spending and investment plan before I decide |

I've got £104.
700, 710, 7x720, 920, ONE 3rd Edn, Nav6 and Nav7, because I start each new device with a new email address. _________________ Dennis

I was going to contribute my £8, but it pales into insignificance next to Dennis's £104! _________________ Anita

Hey Simon. I get your point completely. I have on my shelf in front of me a full version of TTN6 DVD Europe which I ran on my PDA for some time. I switched to the 720 for the extra bits. The irony is that I still run the PDA from time to time in my wife's van or the motorhome and I don't miss all the extra cr@p. It kind of proves my point in that the basic navigation qualities of any TT software is solid but all the fluff is half baked and badly implemented. That's why we're striving to pay for a new developer in the hope we might get something which looks like progress from TTN6. Ok I'm being a little OTT with that statement as IQ routes and a few other bits are a move in the right direction but it's funny how when you run TTN6 you don't feel like it's much different and you breath a sigh of relief that you don't have to suffer the pain of the half @rsed attempts at extra 'features'.
BTW I'll accept cash, cheque, sheep, grain or an IOU :-) _________________ Tom Tom GO 720

Good news! I just checked my old Hotmail account and got a second £8.00 voucher for my old TTN6 purchase! I started this as a joke but the idea of approaching Tom Tom with a figure and making a point is becoming more and more tempting! _________________ Tom Tom GO 720

I've got a better idea.
TomTom have obviously tried to be very clever by pitching this 'birthday gift' from them at a price so low, that whatever you buy will put money into their coffers. EXCEPT for the dashboard disks at £4.88 (can't quite buy 2 sets).
However if EVERYONE used their voucher code for these disks, TomTom would make a significant loss, and the whole idea would backfire!
I'm going to order a set even if they get thrown away. _________________ Regards

Good thinking. However when I did that just now, the first voucher code I entered said not valid or already used, the second one worked, BUT the checkout wanted £6.95 P&P. That is more than enough for them to make a profit even giving the disks away, so I decided not to proceed. _________________ Dennis

Thought I was going to get a cheap map upgrade account, but TomTom don't let you use the codes for maps.
What a ripoff! |

You might be surprised. Didn't I read somewhere that 15% of junkmail through letterboxes generates business? Let's face it, there will be some people who'll use it to contribute towards TT speed cameras. _________________ Dennis

Good luck to them if they do get TT cameras - they are useless. Likewise for Traffic. I cant say what I'd like to about either of these.
BTW: you can have my £8. |
