Don't know what I've done but on second connection getting error message 'criticat communication service have faild to start Try resetting mobile device' which I have done but keep getting same message.
Have reinstalled active sync on desktop and done hard reset on pocket pc - still get same message? I'm lost |

Yeah, the beauty of ActiveSync 3.7.1 ... Try killing the wcesmgr.exe and wcescomm.exe services and then restart ActiveSync on your desktop (or, if that's too wild for you, reboot your PC). _________________ Lutz

IIRC the only way out of that problem is a hard reset.
It happened to me some time ago. |

Well, a hard reset is pretty much the last resort. First you should try the other stuff, like reboting your PC. _________________ Lutz

Write down the exact error message you get.
Then go to www.google.com
Good luck!
I had this issue after having used Active Sync 3.7.1 with no problem for months...
I had to go back to my CD install version 3.5, which works fine (hopefully). |
