|
|
Hi. I have downloaded both the EU and UK speed camera database files and uzipped them into 2 different folders on my PC.
Using the uploader software, I have installed the UK ones only on to the Garmin.
I drove past my local gatso speed camera and it does not detect it, even though it's on a main road in Brighton and has been there for years, and so must be on your database.
I can only conclude that for some reason the database is not working.
I also have the Garmin safety cam database installed, but I have turned it off.
Has anyone any idea what might be the problem?
And a second question: is it possible to install both the EU database and the UK one and have them in the Garmin POI folder at the same time?
Thanks for you help. |

Hi and welcome.
To install the UK and Europe cameras see this thread
As for the cameras can you see the camera on the Nuvi map if you zoom in?
Can you check the cameras are loaded under Where To?, Extras, Custom POIs.
Can you check Proximity Alerts are switched on for Custom POIs? |

Thanks for prompt reply. I have it all working now, with both EU and UK cams.
I think my problems was that I didn't undertsand exactly what the different database files were.
I couldn't see the camera when I was using the 'Speed Zoned Complete' database. As soons as I used 'Consolidated by type' instead it worked.
Any ideas why the other one didn't show the cams? |

I always used to use the Consolidated with no problems. Both should work equally as well.
Anyway at least it's sorted now... |
