TT has indicated that the US740's will revise gas prices up to 6 times a day. I'll let you know. _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |

I'm getting diesel prices round here of all under 98p / litre. I haven't seen anything under £1.03 for weeks. Petrolprices.com has them ranging from 114p (!!!!!!) down to 100p (no idea where that one is). I certainly agree that something doesn't appear to be working. Just a thought - is it too much paranoia to think that TomTom are in fact acting in good faith and doing everything right, but that the staions themselves are submitting - shall we say - imaginative prices to the database? No need to answer by the way, it was rhetorical
If it turns out to be true that the US ones are updated 6 times daily then we really are being stiffed again. Pity TT didn't do a deal with petrolprices to use their data...... |

Can't confirm that it's 6 times a day every day, but I can verify it's at least a few times. Generally correct on the price reports. Interesting traffic, and perhaps not really adding much to the route considerations, and certinly the method of presentation could be much better. I'll post more on that later. As a reminder, this is on a US740. _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |

Don't forget to sharpen the end of the stick to a point before you poke them with it
edit: I've just tried swapping fuel types. No change. UNleaded is showing at 89p and diesel at 96p which in no way reflects any local pricing.
These Live services seemed like a good idea. Now it seems they've managed to break it already by using duff data. |

FINALLY!!! A price change!!!
0.40M 1.04 BP
0.55M 1.02 TOTAL
0.75M 1.03 BP
1.10M 1.04 BP
1.10M 1.03 TOTAL
1.10M 1.03 TOTAL
Massively out of date though.... If the TomTom Services were available separately (i.e. £1-2 for each service) i wouldn't be paying for this at all... |

I've noticed after the latest app. update that the fuel prices seem to be retrieved and downloaded directly from the TT servers each time (even immediately after updating via home) rather than instantly appearing when selected. They also seem a lot more accurate (although that wouldn't have been difficult ). |
