It works on my Nokia N78. I haven't been up early enough to know how promptly it switches over in the morning but in the evening it's just a little slow for me (I would prefer it to switch over a little earlier to reduce the glare at twilight). I haven't found any way to adjust it, it knows the time and your location and presumably it knows where the sun is too... |

I'm having a problem with it as well. My theory is that the kickover time is tied to the satellite UTC time, since it doesn't seem to be tied to my correct PDA system time.
This leads me to a question that may help you out. How do I install my GNS 5870 TMC receiver to my Dell Axim x51v to get it to read the UTC time?
I've set up the BT relationship and tied it to COM port 7 in the GPS menu at 38400 baud (or whatever the drop down is). Then I go into CP GPS options and set up the receiver as in the manual.
Here's the kicker: if I use the auto set up by clicking on BT then select TMC, then it will set up correctly to work. However, if I then select GPS status in the options, the date and time boxes are empty and only 4 sats are being received.
But, if I do the manual set up, I'll get more satellites being displayed as green bars, as well as the date/time showing up in the window. However, my TMC doesn't work, since the manual mode doesn't appear to offer a TMC selection.
Any ideas? |

I think it is a waste of time, and prefer an easy way to do it straight away, I even have it in night time mode in the day to save battery, and more so to stop the glare. |
