Can anybody recommend a non glare phone screen protector that may just fit the SatMap ? I could have done with it today in brilliant sunshine while trying my hand at geocaching.[/b] |

Saw this in "Spare Screen Covers" thread - any good? Quote: | Like others I have discarded the outer cover and applied a decent screen protector. Proporta make one that can be cut to size and has a non-glare surface that improves visibility significantly, especially in bright sunlight. It is removable without leaving sticky deposits and can be washed and re-applied if it gets really mucky. |

Thanks...I assume that actually removing the cover will affect the weatherproofness ? |

You could have a look at this thread:-

I use the PDA screen protectors supplied by iPAQ Repair for the iPAQ 1900 & 2200 Series PDAs. They are reusable and slightly non-reflective, thus improving visibility in strong light. |

I use my A10 on a bike, with the top cover off all the time and just a PDA film screen protector. I find the plastic top cover reduces the screen readability too much when mounted on a handlebar (you can't fine tune the viewing angle in your hand as you can when walking.) |
