Sad Since the latest TT update on my Go 720 I have no option to change country maps, its stuck on Spain. Any (not too techy) suggestions please.

Do you even have to change countries if all are there in your European map?

Or are you saying that if you Navigate to-- Street and address, then before you can select the city, say 'Paris', you are unable to click on the French flag symbol for France?

Hi Dave
When I try to plan a route I no longer have the screen with country flags to be able to select a country. I only have a list of towns in Spain and the option to select a Spanish city.

When you see the list of Spanish Towns, do you have a Spanish Flag at the side of the screen?

If so, have you tried tapping it? What happens?

Hi
There are no flags as there used to be. At the top left of the screen is the word-city and a flashing cursor to input the city name, below that are two lines of town/city names then below that is the qwerty keypad.I have tried typing any city other than Spanish but nothing happens.

My usual suggestion: try a pin reset on the bottom of the unit. If that doesn't work, try the Clear Flash tool found here

I must appologise to all of you who responded to my post. I have done more checks on my 720 and found that the Western Europe maps are missing, after I downloaded the latest camera updates from TomTom. The only maps left are Canary Islands(not Spain).I did a backup after the download but I didn't realise that the Europe maps had already been deleted so a restore will not help. Is there any way I can get the maps other than buying them from TomTom. Once again I am sorry for the wrong information.

Do you have any Explorer backup done before you did the latest Update?

Have you updated the Map, on the 720, in the last year? If so, my understanding is that the Map may still be available for download. It may even be on your Hard Drive in the HOME Download Folder.

Hi Richard
Unfortunately I have not updated the maps only the cameras via TT Home I always backup afterwards but I understand that each backup overwrites the previous one. I have been in contact with TT support and have to email them with details of my 720 how I download which version of Home I use etc....I will post the outcome.

Thanks to all of you who replied to my post. I contacted TomTom who have been very helpful and have now supplied me with a Western Europe map.

Next do a Back Up, not via TT Home:

Suggest you ensure all folders in M/Soft Explorer
and do a back up using Windows on your PC;
there are instructions on this site. Rolling Eyes
