Perhaps it's just my laptop, but doen anyone else get strange jibberish on each post, where the date and time of posting would normally be shown ?
I now get thigs like.....Posted: 99931o0303o , which I am sure is some form of code but I now cannot tell when posts are added. _________________ Tommo...

Is this happening all the time? I don't have the issue, any chance of a screen-shot? _________________ Darren Griffin |

What date and time zone have you set in your profile?
Do you have any other browsers installed that you can check the site with? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Have a look in your profile at "Date format" near the end. What have you got there (just in case that's got corrupted).
Also, do you have access to any other browsers (Firefox etc)? Just trying to see whether it's a browser issue or not.
EDIT: Darren's post was not there when previewed _________________ Gerry

Ahhh. The Forum time/date format in my profile for some reason has my forum name in it, instead of a time date format. What should be shown there...... ? I mean how should I input it ? _________________ Tommo...

I'm not sure what the default is as I've changed mine. Currently, I have ...
D d/m/Y G:i
... which gives your post as ...

If you hit the date() link to the left of the input box, it goes to a site with all the options. It is limited in size though (mine just about hits it). _________________ Gerry

Thanks for that Gerry / Darren. I have now changed my format and all appears well. I did click the link to that date/time format site, but being a thick copper, I couldn't work out what I was supposed to be doing.
Thanks again.

ISTR this has happened once or twice before to users. NO idea what causes it and it is such a rare event that it doesn't immediately ring a bell, sorted though that is the main thing. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren, I have thought of something, which may or may not be relevant. I run Norton Internet Security (don't bother slating it, I know some folk hate it, but it works for me). Norton has a feature for automatically inputting usernames and passwords on sites visited. Sometimes, my username has been automatically input in boxes, which appear to be log-ins, when they are not. The only way to correct this is to remove the associations with that site in the cards and log-ins option screen. It may be that sometime when on my settings page for this forum, my username has been input automatically by Norton in the time/date box and I just didn't notice it going in.
Whatever the reason, its fixed.....so that's that..
Thanks again. _________________ Tommo...
