|
|
Hi there all,
I do wish that i had watched the video first, as I went through the downloading and extracting, but i extracted the whole folder to the western europe on my tt720. I then allowed it to overwrite the licence files already in the folder, silly me, I know, but now i cant get the ikons on the screen for the cameras. It has allowed me to set up the alerts for the cameras, just the single file for ease of use....
I hope that someone will be able to help me sort this out.
Thanking you in advance.. |

That is a perfectly acceptable install method. Our database would only ovwerwite the files of a previous database install if one were present. It will not overwrite ANY files belonging to the TomTom operating system or its map EVER.

Why can't you get the icons? What do you see? If I were you I'd start from scratch and follow the install guide AND OR video. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Use HOME to remove voice files you do not require. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hi
Thanks for the reply.
I have done that, but though the PGPS Gatso 60 are in the Tomtom and are ticked on the screen and show on the map as 60, I get no alert. I also canot see a Gatso 60 when I select " warn near Poi,s" to set the alert sounds. Yet the 60 files are in the tomtom when I look at it on my PC.

Those symptoms suggest you may have exceeded the maximum number of POIs limit for your device.
Can you tell me how many files with the .ov2 extension you have in your map folder? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Well counting as best as I can I have 17 from Tomtom and 45 from PGPS.
This is why I ask about deleting the Dutch written files "kamera" files that carry the Tomtom preloaded data base.
Ps This is a Tomtom 1 xls europe with the traffic data system. |

You can similarly remove all the TomTom supplied speed cameras via HOME. Do you only have the one map on your device? _________________ Darren Griffin |

If you use HOME to remove POIs wit will ensure you don't remove essential system or map files.
You should also ensure you have a full manual backup (not a HOME backup) prior to removing any files.
What are the names of these POIs? So long as they are POI files (xxxx.ov2) then no harm would come from removal but lets see what you have first? _________________ Darren Griffin |
