Hi
I was using igo8 8.0 with ultra skin 5 and all worked a treat.
I have now upgraded to IGO8_8.3.2.79297 and ultraskin 6.0.21 and I cannot get the speed camera voices to work.
If I use the GJ5.4 skin i get all the options, shows the cameras and allows me to select the voice though when i press test the only one that works is the overspeed sound, the rest give no sound at all.
Using the ultraskin 6.0.21 i get no options for voice settings what so ever.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Hi all
Thanks Linknet for your advice for silent voice, everything is ok.
Is there a mean, sys or skin to do the following :
Disable the upper big coloured sign to keep only the lane indicator ?
set the different volume at start up , (general, voice, and key touch)
I have systematically the voice at 0 and the key a 100%
Thanks for your help and your very good job

I think you need to add this to BOTH copies of sys.txt:

[interface]
laneinfo_signpost_enabled=0

I don't quite understand what you want here, you can set all of these on the sound settings menu. Confused

Regards

the top of screen show the highway exit number that will be taken.
but it never display any other highway exit number on the map.
Is it possible to show the current exit number on the map.
This will help me to know my current position.

Thank you in advance

Not as far as I know. It is possible to enable items on the map with settings in the "sys.txt" file, but I haven't seen one for the highway exit numbers.

Hi Linknet.
Do you know if there is a method to get the lane indication boxes to come up earlier. They appear only just before you get to the turn off/straight ond (depending on route)?

That's strange, I've always found them appearing way in advance of any turn. As far as I can determine they are dependent on the map data and there is no way of adjusting the timing.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought. It's the little square arrow thingies that I refer to. These seem to pop up far too late. The big signposts at the top are fine and generally pop up a long way from the junction as you say. h well!!!! Crying or Very sad

Was not not depending of Igo version, I dont understand why ...

Any chance to have a button in the skin to toggle that ??

Is there a directory of the special command available in sys.txt and their use ??

Are all the other settings saved ? If not then maybe the SD Card is write protected.

Have you got "Use Device Settings" enabled ? This may affect the sound settings.

If I add a button it will only disable the signpost information and you won't see this information in the lane arrows.

If you use the above setting it will hide the signpost information and then show the information in the lane arrows instead.

Thanks for signpost trick, it works, display is more clear for me now

Only complain is about the lane infos which, personnaly, I find with not enough contrast for guy like me, who need glasses on the nose to look near object !

a flashy green and red could be better ? anyway to modified that by ourselves to adapt ?
Thanks !

You could change the transparency by editing all of the background files in the skin:

lane_bg_20.bmp
lane_bg_30.bmp

You'll find a total of 8 files, 4 of each type. You need to decompress them with "rlec.exe" and then lighten the alpha layer for each file.
