the problems with a bt gps on the xda only seem to occur when create a serial port for the gps if you do not do this when you are ask then the gps works fine go for a serial port setting and it messes it up _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. I decided to take the advice of the early posts in this thread and ordered myself a HP 2210…thank you for your guidance.
I don’t know how I didn’t spot it before but I have noticed the thread “Sticky: TomTom Navigator 3.01 - do not use with iPAQ 2210!” I plan to use TT3 BT.
Can anyone confirm that I have a problem or not. I noticed that the thread seems to have gone a bit quiet.
Thanks |

Other than the odd mapping-related amusement (try a route that uses the A69 Westbound from Newcastle towards Hexham and you'll see that you get deviated off along the old (pre-dual carriageway) road, and a few others before rejoining the A69) I've been using TT3 3.01 for ages, using GPS driver 3.02 as well with no issues..... |

Things are moving on.
Since that thread, which is getting somewhat out of date now, TomTom issued GPS 3.02, which they thought fixed the problems with the Bluetooth GPS / Navigator 3 / iPAQ 2210 combination.
It seems that there are still some people having problems even with GPS 3.02. So long as you don't buy a 'bad' SD card (Sandisk or rebadges thereof), then, if you have problems, hiding POI from display seems to be an effective work-round. Hopefully future software updates will solve the problem no matter what your settings.

Unfortunately the BT is still poor. No way of connecting to a BT car kit, which I would have thought a very useful profile for a Phone? I must admit it's better for headsets but it's still not there by a long way.
I think i may have got confused with the Traffic bits, seems like I was experiencing the 3 updates and then stop working effect.
