Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply, but sorry - I dont think I asked my question clearly enough
I have not used the LMG yet as I was holding out for the map which, if they update every quarter should have been released a week or so ago as I believe the last one was Nov 11th.
I bought the unit 30 days ago on Tuesday, but I held off connecting it to the computer until Friday night as I believed that the 30 days LMG would run from when you connected it to the computer and updated/registered it so I would have 30 days from then, even though it's more than 30 days from when I bought it? (how do TomTom know when I bought it?)
Is that true or do I need to get my update in quick before Tuesday?
Thanks

I would get your update done before Tuesday, then if it goes wrong you still have time to contact TomTom, if you gamble on the new map being made available for download by your device after the 30 days are up thats your choice.
BUT if it goes wrong you end up with nothing, if you use LMG now your map will be updated FOC to v815. You can then join the map update scheme, where you will get the next four map updates for considerably less than the cost of a single new map - Mike |

Hi,
I've been checking Andy's thread here and there and today it looks like the new map was released yesterday (27th) - is that correct?
So should I use my LMG now or wait a few days to ensure the new map is properly released across the board and i'll get it?
Thanks

Yes, v825 maps were released on the 26th Feb. (UK+Eire, Western Europe, Western and Central Europe and North America, only so far, I believe).
They should be available for download under the LMG, but see this post.
They seem to be reneging on their clearly-stated promises..... |

Hi,
I just went to LMG and it said there was an update available but clicking more says "815.2003" - so it's only offering me the old one?
E-Mail support and complain?
Thanks

Hi,
Glad to report TomTom tech support sorted it out and I now have the 825.2157 map.
Please could you confirm that these are indeed the latest versions? -
App 8.302 (9738/090225) OS:244890
GPS v1.20, Boot 5.5015
Map: United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland v825.2157.
Thanks!

Good to hear! Some others haven't had such a good result.

Here's my Go 720:

GPS: v1.20 Boot 5.5015
Map: W+CE "Large" v825.2157
So yes... they are the latest (unless I'm missing something too! ) |
