I have previously reported this map error to Tomtom on13 Oct 2008 when I was on map v725.1906. I have had 2 new maps since then and am on Map 825.2158 Westen Europe- device software 7.903. post code file 801
I have today travelled to the same address in Wrexham (17 King Street) and would have been directed to same incorrect King Street - Cefn-Mawr. If I type in the Post Code of my required destination LL11 1HH my 910 displays the destination as King Street, Wrexham LL14. I get directed to the same incorrect destination if I search Wrexham - King St.
It seems the problem is in both the Post Code data and Address data.
Could someone try this destination on a 910 or other Tomtom? Do they end up in King treet Wrexham or 7 miles south? I have reported it to Tomtom again today.

Have a720 with same maps as you.
Get the same results as your good self.
I have tries the Welsh and English version of Wrecsam, to no avail.
When put in city and street name, only get the LL14 as an option.
No idea what version of Post Codes I have, I did update the file towards the end of last year - about Nov time I think. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100.

Just to let you know. Tomtom have asked me to report it to teleatlas. I would have thought they should have done this last October and three maps ago when I first reported it and they agreed it was incorrect. Makes me wonder why I bother with Mapshare when they agree map, address and postcode are wrong yet do not make any attempt to correct them.
The teleatlas site shows it wrong as well - address and postcode location. So I duly reported it.

It's the same on Google Maps.
If you just search for King Street, Wrexham it gives the location of King St, Wrexham, Wrexham LL11.
If you search for 17 King Street, Wrexham it gives the location of 17 King St, Cefn, Cefn Mawr, Wrexham, Wrexham LL14.
Could it be because there seems to be no postal address "17 King Street, Wrexham"? The Royal Mail Address Finder shows "Centenary Buildings, 17-21 King Street, WREXHAM, LL11 1HH", so maybe this is causing the confusion. _________________ Anita

That is one possibility 17-21 is definately Centenary Buildings. But if you search on the post code LL11 1HH which gives you King Street and put in 17 when asked for number you will end up in King St Cefn Mawr!!

if you reported it last October it may be unlikely that it is already in the new v825 maps - they have a TA Release Date of October 2008.

If that is the case then I would expect the TA site to now be correct. It is not.
Tomtom have today emailed me requesting info about my device so that they can report it to there "mapping" dept to correct the error. That's why the TA site is incorrect because they were never told.
