With all the hassle with TT at the moment. The fact they don't give a stuff about there customers. The products don't work as they should in a lot of cases. I am looking at forgetting TT in favour of a Garmin 765T.
Does anyone know how Garmin fair as a company? Whats the 765 like compared with a 930? Or would I be buying more of the same? _________________ GO 750 LIVE v9.430 - v8.753612 EU map

On contacting TT twice about problems they took 3 weeks to fix both (both map updates - not working via TT HOME).
Having contacted Garmin also twice, they sorted the problem within 3 days on both occasions (one map update problem - one unit problem).
So those are my personal results, all in the last 3 months. |

If you indeed are using version 8.3 with a map 7.05 for the 720, the question isn't why TT creates a hassle but rather, why YOU would choose to create a hassle for yourself by using a firmware version not geared to your map??!! _________________ David |

So what firmware / map should I be running (I don't want to buy a new map) TT maps as sooooo out of date before they are released _________________ GO 750 LIVE v9.430 - v8.753612 EU map

I went for the 865T
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134&pID=33923
Granted, cost more but if you get it quick it comes with free unit lifetime map updates for Europe.
And as a bonus it seems to actually work

I was running 8.010 before upgrading. The problem I had is still there and has been through 3 App Soft revisions. Thanks anyway.... _________________ GO 750 LIVE v9.430 - v8.753612 EU map
