|
|
Hi,
As this is my first post, i hope you will forgive me if this is the wrong place for this post and point me in the right direction.
I bought a Go 940 Live yesterday, and on the whole set-up appears to have gone well, but one thing I cannot do is connect my Apple iPhone3G mobile to the device.
Now before i bought the 940, i checked with TomTom's website for phone compatibility, and it confirmed that 940 does work with the Apple iPhone3G.
Only, in my case it wont. My iphone can see the TomTom 940 and asked me for the four digit number of which i entered 0000 and it said it was paired. But the 940 just cannot see my iphone3G.
I have spent the afternoon trying and trying, but to no end.
The iphone3G only has an On/off option for bluetooth apart from showing a paired device, so i cannot think of anything else to do on the phone.
Has anyone any suggestions etc. as to how i might set this up please?
Thanks |

I know the iFone will work with the TomTom, to start with if the Fone is showing a pairing with the nav unit delete it, also delete any connection with your Fone that exists on the 940.
Reset the 940 by pressing the power on/ off button and hold the button down until the device plays a drum roll and restarts, you won't lose any settings doing this.
Go to change Preferences/ Bluetooth Preferences and make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the TomTom.
Try connecting the two devices again, keep them close to each other while trying to connect though - Mike |
