TomTom UK & ROI - Europe Maps ?

I bought my son a TomTom One XL with UK & ROI maps for Christmas. Now he wants to go skiing in the French Alps and needs maps of France.
How do I get said maps onto the unit?
There is no SD slot.
Does it have enough memory for more maps?

The TomTom "One XL" *did* have a card slot..... sounds like you've got the TomTom "XL" (yeah, I know it's daft!).

The only way you can do it is take the UK map off the unit before you buy and download the France map.
You can remove the map using TomTom's "Home" utility, but personally I would do it using Windows Explorer.
You need to remove the entire folder called "Great_Britain_and_Ireland" or similar.

Before you do anything though, you need to backup the entire system (again using Windows Explorer rather then Home). Instructions are in the FAQs at the top of this forum section.
