Hi
Tomtom One v2
Each time I update the speed cameras, the warning noise changes back to warning sound 1.
Any ideas please?
Many thanks. |

Do you use the ogg files for your warnings, and how are you updating the files?
You only need to update the ov2 files, and all you need to do is let the new ov2 files overwrite the existing ov2 files. You dont need to change anything else. _________________ Regards

Hi
I don’t know why I always did this, but I copy across the ov2 and bmp files – I guess thinking about it in future I only ever need to do the ov2.
I just use drag and drop in Explorer to update the speed cameras, as I have always done in the past without issues.
The changes made since doing the updates in the past with no issues are:
1) I recently made my first updated map purchase, and to this I ad to update the Tomtom firmware and also had to install and use Tomtom Home for the first time.
2) Also, for the first time I have installed Tomtom validated map share updates.
Many thanks for any advice. |

Just updating the PGPSW speed camera files can't change your warnings settings, but allowing "Home" to run when you connect to the PC *can*.
Unfortunately, TT have made it so that you cannot stop Home running in the background unless you do a hack to the Registry to stop it, but you can stop it from running in the foreground when you connect the TT to the PC, using one of the options in the Tools/Home Preferences page.
Home *shouldn't* do this, but it is one of its regular unwanted "habits". |
