Jo, I got exactly the same error message. POI Detector/Select warnings
GPS Assist
error
GPSAssist exe
Exception
Applicationn : Run + Oxf
Square : : Square + Oxa
I had been testing Speed alerts (only the one for 30 mph worked - I got no warning when I selected the 40 mph one)
I then tried recording a POI and I got an IO warning which I cleared. I the put it into detector mode and it locked up when I drove down the same point. The only way I could clear it was first to close down TTN3, then close GPS Assist, then soft reset

Robin,
could you please do follwing
rename the files POIRec.cdb and POISync.cdb to POIRec.cdb2 and POISync.cdb2. Then copy them to your PC, zip then and send them to me.
This will enable me to recreate the error and see why this is happening.
Thanks in advance,

I thought I'd sit down this afternoon and try and recreate the database error messages of a few days ago for Jo........but now I find in POIAssist that on the Site Selection pages the options selection window for Map is now blank, ie no options shown at all. I've uninstalled GPSAssist, soft reset, completely reinstalled GPSAssist again, but the problem remains.
I don't think this is a GPSAssist problem, more likely Ipaq related as I've had similar things before,ie. blank selection boxes in TTN3 and days of not being able to change screen brightness and then it suddenly worked again for no reason. Any ideas anyone? _________________ Tony
