Why did Garmin not release it until they were sure it was fit for purpose?
Is there anyone, or does anybody no of anyone, who is using a 765T
regularly,is happy with it and has never had any problems.
Cheers,
binty. |

No had a single issue with it at all.

Hi Darren
Any idea when the review of the 765T will be available?
Or is it out and I've missed it.
Cheers,
binty. |

I've delayed in the hope that the ongoing issues would be resolved but I'll get this out next week. _________________ Darren Griffin |

My wife's got a 760 and I've been wondering if anyone has tried installing an operating system designed for the 765ff so as to get the lane guidance enhancements etc?
I know this would be unsupported
I also know about the import of a full explorer back-up first
This is possible with the TomTom's to an extent so I thought the same might apply with Garmins.
If anyone could suggest which software to try - I've downloaded the software for the 885T which is the nearest model I could find (as there is no software indicated for 7-5 models). Any thoughts appreciated. _________________ TT Go 920T

Had a 765T for 2 weeks and after threats of legal action, finally found a Halfords willing to take it back. I bought it mainly because it's the only satnav I know that can optimise a multi stop route. However the main problems were as follows. Sometimes took upto 30 seconds for a full screen redraw, never less than 10 seconds. Kept crashing, twice while on the M25. The satnav, that is. The bluetooth would only work when it felt like it. Despite updating the firmware, these issues could not be resolved. Oh yes, my address doesn't exist either, despite living in London and not the Outer Hebrides. £264 for a Rolls Royce with a Ford Fiesta engine under the bonnet. My £69 Harmon Kardon never had these problems.
So, DON'T BUY FROM HALFORDS. |

US user reports indicate that the latest application software made available this week has improved the odd shutdown issue. One member also noted that the issue for him occurred primarily when quickly changing from traffic map to nav map. But he hasn't noticed any issue since app 3.3 _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |

Further my comments on the 765T. Does anyone know of a satnav that will optimise a route, like Microsft Autoroute on a PC? I sometimes have a dozen visits a day and would like to just put in the postcodes and have the satnav work out the most logical and cost effective route. |

Your 765 doesn't do that in the manner you wish? _________________ Garmin 1695 / 255 / 760 w/MSN - Droid w/Google nav + Navigon - Navigon 8100T - Dakota10 - GPSMap76C - GeoMate Jr. |

The 3d maps and CN EUR 2009.11 maps have been combined on the map info screen.
On update 3.30 has anyone noticed that if you miss your turn the unit now takes noticeably longer to recognise that you are "off route" before recalculating??
The coloured traffic icon no longer displays the delay time and nor does it have any affect on the ETA.
When using the FM transmitter the Nuvi seems to stop transmitting until the next voice prompt, previous versions seemed to supress the static. There is a workaround by playing a "silent" mp3 but this does seem to be a bug _________________ DriveLuxe 51 LMT D - Firmware 6.80
