if you bought the map from ebay then it'll either be someone's OLD map or a pirated one. either way it's an old map!
you should be able to tap the signal-strength meter and see the software and map versions on there.

Some parts of maps are always well out of date, and others not. Where I live, a recent housing estate has appeared on the map in my 740, but I was driving in Derby a week ago and the map has a large roundabout which was obviously changed a while ago as there is a big building there now and it was all rather confused. They are just patchy. |

As current maps cannot be bought on SD card and this is a current version then this has to be pirated? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Just in case - did you just buy an SD card off ebay and then copied your map across from a backup (which is perfectly acceptable), or buy the SD card with the map already on it?
By the way, I can't see Carrington Road on either Google or Streetmap so it doesn't look like it's been added yet. Main routes do appear to be added quicker than residential areas. _________________ Gerry

Ah, having re-read it I may well have misconstrued the original statement. If I have then please accept my apologies.
dagsky, what device do you have? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Yes the place is a residential area. What i do find strange is that the maps have got wainwright ave on it and carty road to, and i'm the road in the middle of them!! Anyway i just hope that when i'm going to some new wierd place that the road is actually on the tt or i'll end up going nuts! I hate being lost!
its the tt710 that i've got... |

Carrington Rd Hamilton, Leicester isn't recognised in map version 815.2003 which is the most recent version for x20 devices. _________________ TT Go Essential |

From his previous topic HERE, he lost his card and DIDN'T have any backups.
The backup he had was for a previous machine so the maps from that not surprisingly didn't work.
And that was only last Thursday....
So where DID this v815 map suddenly come from? |
