Not sure if this is already known but I have found that you can change the standard cursor by replacing a few png files.
I have only changed the 3d ones and so far all seems well.
Files to replace are found at \storage card\Program Files\CoPilot\skin
for 3d view : cheveron_01_3d.png and cheveron_00_3d.png
I would guess for 2d view you would replace the 2d files respectively.
I used photoshop to edit the original file(after making a backup copy) and pasted in a vehicle image. I then brought in cheveron_ring.png as a 2nd layer to make sure my new image fitted inside the circle you see whne the cursor is moving although I guess you could replace this with an empty file if you don't want the white ring showing.
As for the voice,
Using viftool I extracted the chk file from Tomtom, I used Liz Whitaker.
This gives you individual audio files in ogg format for each instruction.
By mapping these to the CPL7 equivalents, involves renaming and joining some files, I now have Liz giving me some of the instructions.
These are the files I have replaced so far:
\storage card\copilot\SPEECH\en-gb\Jane
200y.ogg
500ydwarning.ogg
arrived.ogg
bearleft.ogg
bearright.ogg
congestion.ogg
leftturn.ogg
rightturn.ogg
roundabout1.ogg
roundabout2.ogg
roundabout3.ogg
roundabout4.ogg
roundabout5.ogg
roundabout6.ogg
sharpleft.ogg
sharpright.ogg
then.ogg
turnaround.ogg
Hope someone will find this useful. |

Are you sure you aren't confusing this with Garmin? They have an animated cursor that requires 30 odd images! _________________ Darren Griffin |
