hi i am running west europe maps 7.20.1802 on tomtom v3 when i turn it on i cannot do anything as it says no maps found

Look at the base of the device, on the left side there will be a number something like (4N01.001) can you let me know what that number is as there are so many different TomTom One devices it is hard to tell them apart - use the "Reply" button to answer this thread - Mike |

That's a TomTom One "New Edition"/"Second Edition": 4N00.004.2 (SD card only, no internal flash. SiRF Star III chip. Recognized as 'ONE v3' in the HOME device information.
Now, it obviously had working maps when you started, so can you tell us exactly what you have done?
Have you updated the map via Home?
Did you make a backup before you updated?
Do you know how to connect to the PC and browse the contents of the TomTom using Windows Explorer? |
