Out of interest, why bovver wiv it anyway? I use Present Time and ETA, rather than work out when I'll get there. I suppose it's a preference thing - I prefer to know when I'll get there, not how much longer I'll be driving. _________________ Dennis

Over 10 mins its displays ok.
But under you get this:

Hmm, 7m 15s or 7h 15m to complete the remaining 2.2 miles, is it snowing?
That said, 7minutes to do 2 miles seems excessive specially at 55mph _________________ Tomtom Go730T

Whatgs wrong with hours, minutes and decimal minutes.
You're all happy with degrees, minutes and decimal minutes etc for direction.
It's the dutch trying to make us english persons happy with our beloved mixture of imperial and metric units.
I just wonder if changing the degrees display format for direction to deg mins & secs would change the time format to hours mins and secs.
I haven't got my Tomtom handy at the moment. |

Come to think about it, I reckon the censors have removed the secs from the tomtom display in case it offends someone. They want us to see the point instead. |

Also hrs might upset hims and mins might upset small people. So TT better watch out before the equality and opportunity zealots descend upon them. |

navver wrote: | Whatgs wrong with hours, minutes and decimal minutes. | It's not what people are used to using in day to day life. We don't talk about quarter minutes (or .25 minutes), we talk about 15secs. This display isn't using decimal minutes, it is (as we see it, wrongly) using the "." as the Minutes/Seconds separator character.

It doesn't. Neither does changing the time display from 18:00 to 6:00 pm to 6:00. _________________ Jock

Another funny thing, when the time is less than 1 minute it goes to seconds. |
