A bit of good news at last. I ticked the box having selected the receiver and voilą satellites.
Not sure what to do next though

If its running give a good 20 or 30 minutes worth of a signal to update the databases it downloads from the sats while in use, then you can shut it down and fire up Memory Map - which should find the sats and work, if it doesn't then there is an issue with the GPS setup in the MM software, but at least we know the receiver is working - Mike |

All systems are running good. The TomTom utility is excellent and really does the business when used. I have a small but irritating problem though, when I have shut down and start up again the reciever changes itself back to USB instead of serial, most annoying. When this happens I fire up the TomTom gps utility, change it back and all is fine. The gps settings in the software are fine and do not alter at all it is only the TT utility that reports the change of connection.
I may add that I am using TomTom Navigator 5.5 and MemoryMap on the PPC, they live in harmony very nicely though.
