|
|
Just called them, said I spoke to someone last week about the imminent new map release and they confirmed it was being released next Wednesday, Friday 11th February.
There was no uncertainty in the reply but a definite, firm confirmation that they'd been told it was next Wednesday.
Thanks, Jonathan |

Thanks for the info. Here's hoping my first try at using the Map Update Service I paid for goes smoothly. |

Apologies Wed 11th Feb - too keen to write what they told me! However, given other comments by people, Wednesday might roll into Friday... we'll see. |

Spoke to them today and they said they had no idea when a map was going to be released.
They also said when questioned that a colleague of theirs had firmly told me it would be Wednesday that under no circumstances would they have given a date.
The chap on the phone was rude, didn't care less that I was a new customer of 25days and even laughed at me when I said that the service was poor and their direction inconsistent - so much so he casually said 'whatever'.
I'll be livid if the map now comes out after this Sunday - I bought the TomTom specifically before I'd been advised a new map would be coming out to coincide it with the 30 days.
Apologies if having spoken to them last week again that I got everyone's hopes up!

I subscribed to the map update service which promised me a new map every quarter - a quarte has now passed since the last map release so it is now overdue. Time to ask for a refund??????

Please remember that you are dealing with TomTom.... TomTom & Release dates do not go together. In all the years I've been dealing with TT I don't think they have EVER delivery a product on time.
A challenge... does anyone know of a release date that they have managed to meet? |

TT Home has been doing nothing but spitting out errors for the last hours or so now. Could just be the usual stuff, or they could be adding new content. I can only hope it's the latter. |

I think you'll find it promised four new maps a year, which isn't the same as a new map every quarter. _________________ Anita
