Hello all you Tomtom owners. I have never owned a Sat nav system for my car. I am now looking at buying my 1st one. Can anyone recommend a good system for me. I am looking at spending between £150-£200. I am not well up on the features etc( being a Tomtom virgin), but I would like to use my mobile phone via bluetooth etc. If anyonre could point me in the right direction and even recommend any good deals they are aware of I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance. |

For less than you want to spend, have a look at This for a real bargain, once updated with the latest software and mapping (which is free for the first update) you will have the equivalent of the 530 which retails at well over twice the price, it will provide Hands free for your phone as well as quite a lot more - Mike |

If you use this forum a little more in the future you will quickly find out that the original responder to your query is just about the most knowledgeable, trustworthy, brilliant advisor upon the subject of TomTom sat navs you are likely to find. If he says it good then it almost certainly is. You can send the cheque in the post Mike. |

When you get it perform a full back up using Windows Explorer there are instructions on how to do this in the FAQ page which you will find in the sticky threads near the top of this forum index page.
If you look at the FAQ page also take some time to have a read of the other pages it links to as you will find a raft of information which should help you set the device up - if you get stuck or you are unsure about something post a question on here and someone will soon be along to answer it - Mike |
