i need help with my tomtom go710 which was working perfectly well till recently. For last couple of weeks it's not locking signal at all. I've done everything that is said about this problem on this forum as well as what is suggested on tomtom website but no luck at all. I've done the updates, the reset (full reset), clear flash, sitting in my car for hours but nothing works.
Recently i've noticed that the device shows itself as go510 whereas it's go710. Could that be a problem and if it is how do i fix it?
pls pls pls someone help me out here...with tks |

Welcome to the forum, does the device acquire a GPS position fix if its taken out in the garden and switched on whilst it is out of the car? - If not it could be the GPS aerial has expired.
The 510 and 710 are identical devices in terms of hardware, the only difference being the actual map loaded to the unit so don't worry about what device it is reporting as - Mike |

Hi - did you ever get this resolved? Was the aerial "expired" (mystified as to how an aerial expires!)?
Interested because my TT One is showing similar symtpoms.
Thanks. |
