Hi Folks,
I've recently had a few problems with my 530 which has involved a reinstall. I'm currently on 8.3 software but I seem to have lost all the voice control options, this includes address entry, route changes etc.
Anybody got any suggestions on getting this back?
Thanks
Steve |

Have you got the ASR folder on the device and is there anything in it, also check the file "cspeech_GBR.dat" is present in your map folder - Mike |

This happened on my 530, it lost the navigate to voice functions. After much fiddling and changing of files it turned out to be some sort of corruption to the mapsettings.cfg file in the map folder. I suggest you back up this file, then either delete it from the map folder or rename it and see if that is the issue.
The file will be automatically recreated when TT restarts but you will lose all your settings and favourites, which is why I recommend you back it up first in case this is not your issue.
If you already have an earlier backup of this file, try and restore this. _________________ Drivelux |

First thing to try is a reset using a paperclip in the reset hole on the base of the device, you wont lose any data or settings doing this.
If the reset doesn't work try Change Preferences/ Restore factory settings this will delete some of your settings and POI warnings etc but its worth a try - Mike |

Ok, fixed...deleted the ASR and that file and restored from a backup and away it goes. |
