Hi,
Is there any way of installing 3rd party applications on the Go units?
On my Pocket PC running TT Navigator 6, I used a program called GPSGate, which used an internet connection via bluetooth to my mobile phone to upload my position every few seconds so family/friends could view my position on a Google Map from the web - very useful if you are coming up to traffic as they can look up the traffic reports and advise where to go etc.
Is there anything like that possible with the Go units (i've just ordered a 520).
Thanks

That looks very interesting - thanks!
I'll have to have a good read.
If anyone knows of anything else along these lines, i'd be very interested in hearing
Thanks

You could always look at the topic in this very forum!
It's one of the "sticky" topics at the top of the index....
Third Party Add-On Applications
There's a long list (with links) for all sorts of applications, compiled by some brave soul....
Since TomTom stopped supporting the Software Developers' Kit, many of them have stopped working with latest software versions, but many still do, and I'd hoped people would report back with their findings, so the list dcould include that info. |

Thanks Andy - that's cool.
You should add that FireTom to the list!
