|
|
Is it worth fitting a plastic screen protector to my new Garmin 765T sat nav unit?
Does it interfere with the units touch-screen operation?
Does it really save the screen in the long run? I'm thinking with cleaning the finger marks off regularly the screen might get a bit scratched.
And can they be removed, replaced regularly?
cheers. |

I wouldn't use a screen protection film on a sat nav as they tend to cause more problems than they are worth, any small air bubbles trapped behind the protector will expand as they heat up, this causes pressure on the screen leading to inadvertent menu selections.
As you only use your finger to tap the screen for control you shouldn't scratch it, a wipe over with a clean cloth every few weeks should be more than adequate - Mike |

I've used the Zagg invisible shield on a few devices and it's worked very well so I bought one for my 765T and it's great, it went on using their method of spraying the shield with the fluid they supply and then squeegie'ing it all out and I now have a perfect cover that I can't see unless I look real closely, has no bubbles and protects the screen. |

Can I get Zagg in the UK. Cannot find a supplier. I see other types on Amazon. Was wondering if they were ok. |

You can order from the Zagg USA site and they actually get shipped from Manchester! |
