Can anyone please tell me where I can get another cradle and radio antenna. The plug for the traffic attenna is broken in the cradle.
Also is the 980 the same cradle? If yes this will widen the chance of getting spares. I am dissapointed with the purchase now I see Michelin were closing their services as I bought the unit and the shop said nothing
Caveat emptor!
Thanks |

Hi
Thanks - that is a good idea
How does the cradle come apart. I cannot see how it can be opened.
Thanks again

Hi,
If you look on the front of the cradle where to 2 slide are there are 2 round plugs about 5mm dia, you have to prise these out underneath are 2 philips screws remove them and turn the cardle over, remove the other 2 screwswhat you can see, remove the front plate carefully a plastic spacer will come out from behind the interface plug, disconnect the speaker plug, you will now have the pcb where the ariel connection is, renew the connection (you will need to solder it) then rebuild and test unit.
