Anyone bought the london A-Z for the satmap A10?
Any good and how does the index work or isn't there one?
Ther are no reviews on the Satmap website for the maps.
I have just been away for the weekend with the A10 on for most of the time and have still 4 bars on the lithium battery. |

Nice to see this out - was told would be out 'next week' and that was before last Christmas - bless em Know they've been very busy with improvements to the software and hopefully it's worth the wait. Would be interesting to see some reviews, too, and wondering how well the maps will scroll at this scale. Have used a customized 1.25 partial london map and obtained signal lock even on narrow streets. When I've vanished down the tube a straight line is drawn to my point of re-appearance. To have A-Z detail would be a dream. |

Don't want to sound like sour grapes, but £60 sounds a bit steep for this mapping. Memory Map do it for £25 to use on a PC or a Windows PDA, and A-Z themselves sell a Windows PDA only version for £20.
Most OS mapping for the Satmap is comparable with or cheaper than competitors prices. |

I used it 2 weeks ago. I used it to drive in and out of London wedged on the dash. Absolutely great, no probs, never lost lock. Clear mapping, perfect. And with my rubbish eyesight being able to zoom in on the A-Z mapping was really good. Also whilst walking around the Albert Hall area, what I hadn't quite appreciated was how good it would be not to have to turn pages all the time - fab.
I have always said the potential for Satmap was amazing. It gives me great pleasure to say to the forum users: told you!! |
