Welcome to the forum, you can run them both on the same device to see the difference in quality - then you can either disable the TomTom alerts or remove the files all together - this is down to personal choice - Mike |

Greetings,
Remember that if you run both at the same time you will get 'double warnings' of the cameras.
Then again, maybe not for all of them, because the TT camera database will be well out of date because it is not updated every week like the PGPSW one is.
Down to personal choice, but I got rid of the TT cameras as soon as, and just run the ones from here.
Good luck. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

wotswot wrote: | is there any covered on tt that wont be on the pocket data base? | Yes there will be cameras in the TomTom database that we don't have in the PGPSW data, this is because the cameras don't exist and their data is simply out of date.
wotswot wrote: | is it easy to up data the pocket gps once installed? .. cheers | Very simple indeed, all you do is download the new database (which is updated every week) and copy/ paste the new files to the map folder, this replaces the old data with the new and you don't need to do any further setup - Mike |

If you go to this thread and click on "Watch this topic for replies" at the bottom you'll get an email each time a new database is released. _________________ Anita

But that won't be until two days after notification of the release of the database is posted! _________________ Anita

Why don't we have the release date by the big yellow square with a globe and camera inside that everyone points out to new users is the link to the download page? |

It's updated every Wednesday, how would having the release data there be better? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Darren.
It would possibly alleviate questions such as that from wotswot and save those who know about it a click when looking to see if the latest has just been released on a Wednesday if last week's date was displayed.
Only a click, and another to get back to where you were with the associated mouse movements when you find it has not been updated yet, (aaaah) but I thought that things were supposed to be designed to make things easier for people
Also, possibly the word 'Download' just before 'Speed Cameras' above the aforementioned logo whould reduce the 'Where do I download the database' type question.
PS. I'll go now before I get thrown out. |

I'll see what we can do, I'm happy to add text that says 'Download' and 'Updated every Wednesday' but am loathe to offer a version or date as its yet more work that risks being overlooked each week. _________________ Darren Griffin |
