Yes. Just be sure to position it sensibly, i.e lower left corner of windscreen or bottom center. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Having upgraded to a 540, I'm looking to stick with a Brodit mount as well, as they've always served me well.
I have a proclip already in my car, with a mini move clip attached - this worked well with my 720 and I want to use the same approach with the 540 as it lets me stow the mount out of sight when not using it, and move it between cars easily.
However I notice that the x40 mount doesn't have a flat mounting plate - its partially moulded. This looks like it'll be a problem if used with a move clip - there wouldn't be much surface area for the clip to stick to.
Has anyone tried this and / or got a workaround? Given that the move clip is one of Brodits products I'd be a bit surprised if they didn't have some way to make use of it. |

You can fill the recess on the back of the Brodit x40 Mount with two pack epoxy - often simply called "Araldite" just put enough in to fill the hole and make sure you have the mount horizontal when doing this so it sets level - Mike |
