Its not missing, you need to tap Navigate To/ Address/ Post code if this is not working check there are some files in the folder named "zip" in the root of the device - Mike |

It's working for me on my 520. Tap screen, Navigate to /Address /Postcode is all you need. Check you have the latest zip file for the postcodes, which is version 801, I believe.
Edit for spelling error. Note to Self - USE PREVIEW _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. Now using Maps & Waze on Samsung Galaxy S4 + CamerAlert of course! |

Yeuck...
In Firefox there's a spellcheck built in.
On the menu bar, click on Tools/Options/Advanced/General tab. tick "check spelling as I type". You can also download a UK English dictionary for it.
I assumed IE has the same thing? |

The HTC Excalibur isn't listed as a compatible handset by TomTom, but this doesn't mean it won't work - it just means they haven't tested it so they won't offer any support for it.
I know this might sound silly, but make sure the Bluetooth is actually enabled on the TomTom (Change Preferences/ Bluetooth Preferences).
Also on the phone make sure Bluetooth is both on and discoverable.
TomTom do occasionally update the files required for the mobile phone, this is done automatically via the Home software - Mike |

No, the .tlv file is just a version and info file used by Home. You can open it in Notepad and it says:
Quote: | The phone connection settings are used to setup a connection between your TomTom device and your phone. Through your phone, your TomTom device can then make a wireless data connection to TomTom, so that you can download TomTom PLUS services like Traffic, Weather and Safety Cameras. The phone connection settings include connection information for most mobile phones and mobile phone operators. Downloading and installing the phone connection settings enables you to quickly and easily setup your connection.
|
'connect2internet.db', 'connect2internetdb.ver', 'connect2internet.so' are all parts of the set of files needed, and I think it is the .db file that is the actual phones database.
If you delete (or preferably move) the contents of the "phonedb" folder from your PC (C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Downloads\complete\phonedb\) as well as the files from the Go itself, that should hopefully force Home to download a new version. That folder contains .cab archive files with the three files mentioned above inside them.
I've never tried it, but that technique works for other TT content like QuickFix ephemeris data and MapShares. |
