Hi all. Fantastic site, browsed for ages but first post. Want to fit the proclip mount and holder to centre vent of BMW E39 to mount Tomtom 720. What are the thoughts to leaving the mount on show after removing the Tomtom. Obviously they are not designed to remove as you would the windscreen mount so leaving it in place is just advertising the fact that you've maybe got the Tomtom in the glove box. |

Have you considered using the mini MoveIt clips to form a quick release holder so the TomTom mount can be removed leaving just the unassuming Pro-Clip in place? details on these can be found by clicking Here - Mike |

Thanks for the reply. Seems like a good solution. How do they fix to the mount/Proclip on the vent. |

They are self adhesive, not the usual glue though, these stick with a vengeance and won't come off without serious messing around! - I have used them on quite a few holders in the past without any issues - Mike |

if it does come off then a little superglue will make sure it sticks just remember to treat the area with something like lighter fluid to remove any polish or greese before sticking the move clip tot he proclip _________________ currently using aponia truck navigation on windows phone. i use the mini move clips - they're great! not onl is it less obvious what you have but also allows you to swap and change willy-nilly. eg i have my phone and my ipod holders, sometimes i have only one attached, sometimes i use my double-plate and have both attached all from a single mount.
part number is: 213005 (Brodit Move Clip Mini) and they come in a pack of 3 - 2 'back' parts and one 'front' part.

I have had my brodit proclip vent mount fitted since new on my 3yr old focus, complete with the maxi move clip and never had any problem, it doesnt seem to be that noticable. _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8 |

Thanks to all. Went for the mini moveit option with active holder and proclip mounted on the air vent. Superb solution and couldn't recommend the quality of Brodit more than many others already have. |

For any others, the reason I opted for the Maxi move clip is that it is thicker and has fixing holes for screws instead of adhesive tape and it is the same width anyway as the proclip and at the time felt more substantial, I have no complaints whatsover, eventually I will get around to a double mount for phone aswell. _________________ Moto G5s Plus, Sygic 17.4.8
