When I contacted them about a year ago asking if they had considered releasing their data as a POI for satnavs they replied that they had not found any company willing to purchase the data for that purpose.
No harm in trying for a tie up with this site, if they haven't sold the data in more than a year they are unlikely to do so in the current climate. _________________ Paul |

Looks as if it would be a very popular POI group. It has attracted 1684 (and counting) views; many more than lots of other posts.
I wonder if we couldn't get group collaboration via the 'Submit POI' function? It only need to be set-up to take the new POI set. _________________ Regards

Definitely a good idea! But it does conjure up a picture of police investigating reports of people in cars with PGPSW stickers in their windows loitering outside toilets ("I was just inputting coordinates into my satnav, officer"). _________________ David

But if all our members were to add those that they know of we'd soon have most of the country well covered. _________________ Anita

I thought after I posted that that one of you "boys" would have to comment!
I was going to suggest after 253 told us about his prostate trouble earlier that he should change his sig from
To be,
or not to
Be Bop A Lu La
to
To pee,
or not to
Pee Bog A Loo Lav
but I decided it would be in poor taste! _________________ Anita

I have submitted the ones local to me.
Did have a bit of trouble locating the correct section, looked under Attraction, Entertainment, Public service building, Recreation & Special interest before eventually finding it under Community.
Didn't submit the location of the back doorway to a local pizza takeaway even though it is often used for this purpose. _________________ Paul |

I've just submitted five, but with equal trouble doing the category I sent the first one in as Accommodation Agrriturismo or something. I've done a Remove request for it and submitted the toilet correctly. _________________ Dennis

Hi DennisN
Glad it's not just me with that problem. I was doing a load of rail crossing pois over Xmas and that kept happening to me. For some reason it would default back to that when i submitted.
I think there are about 4-5 that submitted that are showing the wrong icon, I managed to catch a lot but about 4-5 are wrong.
I'll be going back to check and change over weekend (with luck) , will do some more but submit via a text file this time. _________________ Triumph Tbird 1700. And now a Bonnie T100. |

It seems to just public toilets, no mention of Disabled, or am I missing something? |
