Hoping for some suggestions...my Go 700 was bought when first launched so long in the tooth now but until recently 100% reliable. I'm now getting lots of boot up problems requiring multiple resets every time I turn it on before anything works. A real pain.

Is it worth the effort and cost to change the hard disk?
Where should I find a new HDD (no idea what the spec is - a 1" has been mentioned)?
I've read somewhere it's better to switch to an IDE compact flash setup?
Or should I consign it to the nearest rubbish bin and buy something a little more up to date?

Thanks for any advice!!

Here's how one owner did it.

It's quite a comprehensive photo guide.

Thanks - a really handy guide. I didn't realise the a CF card was a straight swap for a micro HDD - thought there was some other adpater needed but seems not. Worth a bash.

Cheers!
