Can I easily convert TomTom POI's to Navman POI's please and how do I do it? I ask because the TT database is better than anything I have seen for the Navman S90i (asc format I believe).
Thanks
Doug
PS in this forum because more people look at it!! _________________ Returned to a proper Garmin although still have Co-Pilot on a Galaxy S3! |

If you are referring to the built in TomTom POIs that are provided by TomTom with the map then the answer is no, it cannot be done easily.
A program is available from a person by the name of Licour which can extract the tomtom POIs but it is complicated to set up and needs some programming experience to get it to work with recent versions of the POI file.
I believe that using the data on a Navman would contravene the terms of your licence agreement with TomTom. _________________ Paul |

Paul. Thanks. I was thinking of using the TomTom POi's from here and converting them for the Navman. Surely that isn't illegal is it as these have been put together by people other than TomTom.
Getting a bit hacked off with TT, to be honest! They'll be telling me when to breathe next! Suckback - I LOVE TOMTOM!!!! _________________ Returned to a proper Garmin although still have Co-Pilot on a Galaxy S3!

You could try a program called POIConverter, Easily found on Google. _________________ Time for bed says Zebadee

Also have a look at POIEdit which can be used to convert POI files between various device formats, you can download it from Here - Mike |
