Just got myself a Novus Rider today.
I used to use TomTom with the PGPS speed camera POIs installed, but I've since changed car. The new car has a built-in DVD SatNav which doesn't support POIs. So SWMBO has inherited the TomTom, and I get a brand new gadget
Anyway, I've only been playing with it for a few hours, but I've noticed a couple of odd things, and I wondered if this matches with other people's experience. Nothing serious - I still love this little box of tricks. So if you're also a Novus Rider user, I would really benefit from your user experience.
Firstly, when switching between "Safe Driver" mode and "Speed Cam" mode, the new selection is announced, but the actual mode of operation doesn't change unless you power-cycle the unit. Is this typical?
Secondly, the manual says that the LED display will cycle through six different information displays when the unit is stationary, depending on how many times the "Menu" button is pressed. For example, 5 presses gives the number of satellites locked. Is there a trick to this, because I can only get the time and date to display, no matter how many times I press the button?
Cheers,
Niggle. |
