Contact satnav-shop who are well recommended by others on this forum. I think they may well even give you a quote or tentative estimate in advance. _________________ Dennis

Thanks so much. I have emailed TomTom today with a picture of the screen. I will see if they are reasonable. Somebody wrote a review on the Amazon site with a simmilar problem and they repaired his free of charge! |

I emailed sat-nav shop this afternoon and he emailed back straight away with a quote of £90. I'm not saying that that is unreasonable, but it certainly is uneconomical when you consider that this model has come down to around £100-120, but it was worth a try. I will wait for a response ffrom TomTom and call it a day. |

Yes, I can understand that. I guess the quote would probably have been the same £90 for a screen for the 920, or 930, which are much higher in the price range, but from the point of view of screen replacement I suppose they are identical. One thing of course, you got a very quick turn round response there.
Mind you, I don't think you'd find many 520s for sale these days, so £90 may be economical against the price of a new something else?
Let us know how you get on - that way other people will see the reasoning of it. _________________ Dennis
